Sorsix, the company behind Pinga®, a Health Operating System deployed across Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Europe, today announced that it has achieved ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification - the world's first international standard for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS).
The certification places Sorsix among a small global cohort of technology companies - and one of the first health technology companies in the world - to have had its AI governance framework independently verified against this standard.

What the certification means
ISO/IEC 42001:2023, published by the International Organization for Standardization in December 2023, establishes requirements for organisations to design, implement, maintain and continually improve an AI Management System. It addresses AI's unique governance challenges including ethical considerations, transparency, bias mitigation, data governance and continuous monitoring - all assessed by an accredited, independent third-party certification body.
For Pinga® - which embeds AI across clinical voice services and document processing - the certification provides independently verified assurance that these AI systems are governed within a structured, risk-aware framework.
A first-mover position in health technology
As of the date of this announcement, no Health Operating System or comparable clinical platform serving Australian and New Zealand health networks has publicly confirmed ISO 42001 certification. With AI increasingly embedded in clinical workflows - and with regulators including the TGA, the Australian Digital Health Agency and the European Union's AI Act beginning to formalise AI governance expectations - Sorsix's certification positions the company at the leading edge of compliant, responsible clinical AI deployment.
The certification is particularly significant given Pinga's deployment context: the platform currently supports waitlist management, audit and appointments digital pathways, care coordination, occupational health services, RIS solution, and various screening programs across Local Health Networks in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and beyond.
