Sorsix Brings Connected Imaging and AI Voice Agents to ISDCO 2026

At ISDCO 2026, Lynx demonstrated booking an ultrasound appointment during a live on-stage call with Jason from True North Imaging, who was playing the patient.

It was one highlight of a full day at the Independent Surgical & Diagnostic Clinics of Ontario (ISDCO) Annual Conference, held on 23 October at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre, where Sorsix was proud to be a Diamond sponsor.

The day combined a session on stage, led by CEO Dalibor Frtunik, with conversations at the Sorsix stand about Pinga® RIS+ and Lynx, Pinga®’s AI voice agents for patient calls.

AI, without the hype

Dalibor shared what Sorsix sees on the ground when implementing AI in imaging practices, and where the line sits between what is real and what is hype.

Attendees then watched Lynx at work, with Jason joining Dalibor on stage to play the patient. Starting from a sample referral, Lynx called Jason, completed an ultrasound booking within the demonstration, and politely declined an off-topic request partway through the call.

The near-term value of AI, Dalibor said, is in non-clinical work: reading referrals, patient communication, scheduling and AI-enhanced voice recognition. In his view, AI replacing the radiologist is not on the short- or medium-term horizon.

AI needs good plumbing

AI is only as good as the plumbing underneath. Without a mature, connected RIS and the right practice data, AI simply shifts work somewhere else. As Dalibor put it, you can’t enjoy a jacuzzi without water in the house.

That plumbing is Pinga® RIS+: one connected platform from referral to report, giving AI tools like Lynx the data and the workflow they need to do useful work.

Governance inside the system

Dalibor closed on AI governance. It has to live inside a clinic’s systems, not only in a policy document: monitoring, full transcripts and an audit trail of what the AI said and did, to support oversight, accountability and evolving regulatory requirements.

Sorsix is certified to ISO/IEC 42001, the international standard for AI management systems.

What we heard at ISDCO

Across the day’s sessions, three themes stood out:

  • Ontario is expanding connected imaging. Sessions highlighted plans for a provincial vendor-neutral archive and wider participation from community clinics, helping clinicians access patients’ prior exams across Ontario.

  • The workforce is the bottleneck. Technologist vacancies and turnover affect every discipline, and speakers agreed that reducing administrative burden is now a retention strategy.

  • AI is now a provincial priority, with growing attention to security, from multi-factor authentication to guarding against unapproved “shadow AI”.

That is where Pinga® RIS+ fits: taking repetitive administrative work off front-desk and technologist teams, with AI governance built in rather than bolted on.

At the stand

Throughout the day, imaging centre owners, managers and radiologists stopped by the stand to meet Lynx and see how Pinga® RIS+ connects referral, scheduling, reporting and billing.

It was also a chance to catch up with our client Wentworth-Halton X-Ray and Ultrasound, which runs imaging across 12 community sites on Pinga® RIS+.

Thank you to the ISDCO organizers and to everyone who stopped by to meet Lynx. If you missed us, we’d be glad to pick up the conversation.
